Shooting Star
I went running last night and was able to actually jog the 2 mile loop. (Yeah) But what I want to talk about is the shooting star I saw while running. The good thing about running alone is you get to be in your own head and think things through and work through your own thoughts. The first thing I thought was I get to make a wish, yeah for me. I immediately thought I wish I could lose 24 lbs easier. Then 2 seconds later I thought what a dumb ass wish I have so many things more important to wish for and I started listing the more important things and here is my list.
1. I wish my brother did not have cancer.
2. I wish my other brother's problems would go away.
3. I wish my Dad, Mom, and Step-mom were healthier and felt better every day.
4. I wish America had a real health care system instead of a system that makes money off people being sick.
5. I wish our food was not loaded with high fructose corn syrup.
6. I wish we used less fossil fuels for energy.
7. I wish there were no religious zealots in the world.
I guess I just put my faith into a falling star instead of the invisible man in the sky. I stopped wishing or praying however you want to look at it and just started running faster to get the fuck out of my own head.
