That's right. We have gone solar. Some people go country but not us baby.

We are waiting for our final inspection from the local electric company then our meter will be spinning backwards. We have installed a 4KW system on a tracker. It has 16 photovoltaic panels to turn sunshine into energy. It was almost damaged the first day by Grant's excitement and strong rock throwing ability. Needless to say he got a lecture from the installer about how to treat the panels....SOFTLY.



It should be able to produce enough electricity to cover our usage entirely. This has been my goal since moving to NM and now I have to think of a new one. Any ideas?
Maybe I should just worry about paying this one off before starting a new one.



You may have also noticed a new dog in the photos. That is Jackson. He has jumped through 3 screens, destroyed 5 screens total. He also jumped through one interior wooden door and damaged another. We love him. He does not like men very much other than me and is very stubborn. We now have 2 animal zones in the house. Cats in the back and Jackson in the front(very restricted area). Clyde plays with Jackson under the door but is not willing to be in the same room yet. We hope to unite our entire family in the near future.
