Tent Rocks National Monument
An adventure we went on this past weekend. We decided to take the kids to Tent Rocks National Monument. It is about a 1.7 mile hike up, through a slot canyon, and then up the side of a mountain. I had done it before with a friend and did not think there was anyway the kids were going to make it all the way to the top. I did think that they would like climbing over, around, and under the giant boulders in the canyon. I had a great time climbing it the first time but it was ten times better seeing it through Grant and Eva's eyes and expressions. Eva led the way up and Grant led the way down. It was amazing and the pictures don't really do it justice but here are a few anyway.

This is the starting point and the cliffs in the background are the target.

Someone really enjoyed herself. She said it was her best day ever.

This is the top, but I went over the top out to the end of the cliff and took a picture looking back.
